ANY IDEAS?

Tom found out that the people of Swaziland are very talented. He brought back

a host of souvenirs and hopes to find a way to market them. The greatest gift we can

give to these people is to help them find a way to sustain their lives and generate income

for their families and community. We have some beautiful handcrafted beads along with

place mats, bowls, wooden containers, painted ostrich eggs and key chains. If you

know of any way to market these items, we would appreciate your ideas.

Pouring out ...

The pain of poverty is so real in third world countries,
isn't it? Children running around scantily clad no matter what the weather is like, bellies swollen from

malnutrition and disease, hungry faces and eager hearts desperate for someone to extend a hand of love all paint a picture of
poverty's wake. How about spiritual poverty? What

evidence do we see that leads us to believe that someone is spiritually bankrupt? Well, we can all thank God that in His economy, we all truly have equal opportunity. That is because

no matter what our social or economic status, or our achievements or the lack of them, all of us are in the red before coming to Christ. We
couldn't possible pay the bill even if we offered an eternity of installment payments without interest. The ones to be truly pitied
no matter what his or her physical condition may be, are those who do not recognize their need for Christ. Unfortunately, the heart of man is the same and across the globe there are multitudes of people who will never come to Jesus to acknowledge the payment He made

to erase mankind's debt. The poverty that Tom saw in Swazi was astounding and
leaving behind a few pairs of jeans or T-shirts seems to be so insignificant compared to the

vast ocean of needs they face each and every day of their lives. These are the times we must remember the multiplied fishes and loaves, the water turned to wine, the manna that rained down in the desert enough to feed several million each day and the cruse of oil that kept pouring out. Impossible with man, but

possible with God - these are the situations we are called to embrace. These are the circumstances upon which our Lord poured

out His best. We must pour out our best, however insignificant it may seem, and allow the Spirit within us to reach out to
poverty's pain. Thank you for all you have done these many years as we reach out to those whose lives have been afflicted.
