ABORTIONIs it the only answer?Perhaps you or someone you love is being faced right now with a dilemma of an unwanted pregnancy. If so, we urge you to read the dilemma of an unwanted pregnancy. If so, we urge you to read this entire document. We believe the information contained in this document can be life-changing and can provide an alternative to what has become one of the most common surgical procedures performed in the United States ....ABORTION1.2 million abortions are performed each year in this country alone. For ever 2.8 live births, there is 1 abortion. Twenty percent are repeat customers. The statistics are alarming, and one cannot help but wonder what, if any, alternatives are being offered to these woman. Are they aware of the techniques of abortion and, if so, from whom have they they obtained this information? I think it would be safe to say that the doctors and participants who are eager to perform the abortions are the ones supplying this information, or should I say "misinformation?" First of all, whether you view the fetus as an actual human being or a mass of bloody tissue, abortion is considered a major surgical operation. Like any other major operation, the patient is entitled to complete and accurate information from her physician. This should include the techniques involved and possible alternatives. Maybe you have already made the decision to have your child aborted. Has your doctor been honest and fair in presenting this information to you? Has he included the possible risks and complications that may result from this procedure? Don't stop reading this document but explore the following facts before continuing on with your decision. Don't be mislead; ignorance is not bliss.
The following are the most commonly used abortion techniques with a brief description of the procedure:SUCTION ASPIRATION: The cervix is dilated allowing for insertion of a suction curette. The fetus is then torn to pieces by means of a powerful suction and drawn into a container. DILATION AND CURETTAGE (D&C): Similar to the suction method. A loop shaped knife is inserted into the dilated cervix and the baby is cut to pieces and scraped from the uterine wall. This should not be confused with a therapeutic D&C done for reason other than pregnancy. In this case, th cervix and womb are not nearly as susceptible to damage. DILATION AND EVACUATION (D&E): Similar to D&C. A grasping forceps is used in place of the curette. The body parts must be torn away from the uterine wall and removed, piece by piece. In many cases the head is too large for removal and must be crushed. Bleeding is profuse. SALINE INJECTION: Also known as salt poisoning. Performed in the second or third trimester of pregnancy. This method is also referred to as SALINE AMNIOCENTESIS. A concentrated salt solution is injected into the amniotic sac. The baby swallows the solution and usually dies one to two hours later. The baby's skin is often stripped or burned off. Twenty-four to forty-eight hours later the mother goes into labor and delivers a dead or dying baby. This method has been outlawed in other countries because of its inherent risk to the mother. PROSTAGLANDIN ABORTION: This method is generally used during the second half or pregnancy. A hormone is injected into the amniotic sac causing the premature birth of a child usually too young to survive outside the womb. In many cases, salt is first injected to insure the delivery of a dead fetus. HYSTERECTOMY Similar to a cesarean section in method although the intent is to destroy, not save the child's life. Used when the above two methods fail. Nearly all victims of this abortion are born alive. Abortion is not quick and easy cure for unwanted pregnancies. Women who have abortions face increased risk of future miscarriages, tubal pregnancies, premature births, sterility, and emotional trauma. After reviewing the physical consequences concerning abortion, you may feel it is worth the risk. Nothing could seem worst than carrying a child that you are unable to support either financially or emotionally, but there is a far more important consequence to consider. How to Receive Christ:Receiving Christ involves turning from our selfishness with the help of God and giving Him control of our lives, allowing God to make us the individual HE WANTS US TO BE. Just to agree intellectually that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that He died on the cross for our sins is not enough. We must believe God's WORD and by faith accept Jesus Christ and believe God at his word to change us. "He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall he not with Him also freely give us all things?" (Romans 8:32). God became involved in man's problems to fulfill His plan of salvation. He handed over His only Son on our behalf to pay the price of sin. He gave His son over to death that we might be saved. With Christ, God will save us from our sinful nature and give meaning to our lives. You can receive Jesus Christ NOW BY FAITH THROUGH PRAYER. LORD JESUS CHRIST, I WILLFULLY INVITE YOU INTO MY LIFE. I ACKNOWLEDGE THE PRICE YOU PAID FOR MY SINS. YOU GAVE YOUR LIFE FOR ME ON THE CROSS SO I WOULD HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. I ASK YOU TO COME INTO MY LIFE AND TAKE CONTROL. CHANGE MY DESIRES TO PLEASE YOU. THANK YOU FOR FORGIVING MY SINS AND GIVING ME ETERNAL LIFE. If you prayed that prayer now, CHRIST has come into your life. (Get to know HIM through His Word, the Bible. Spend time with Him in prayer.) Seek out a church that teaches the Bible. Not just a church that acknowledges the Bible, but one where Christ is honored and His word is preached. Take the time to read the following scriptures: Revelation 3:20, 1 John 5:11-13, John 14:21, Philippians 4:13, Colossians 1:14, John 1:12, John 5:24, and 2 Corinthian 5:17. Take one each day and ask God to reveal its full meaning to you. In fact two we learned that sin separates us from God. Rejection of your unborn child will not send you to hell. The only sin that will keep an individual from spending an eternity with the Heavenly Father is the rejection of His Son, Jesus, as Messiah and Lord. It will, however, lead you down a path of spiritual destruction that will separate you further from the loving Creator who desires to give you total peace (spirit, mind, and body) that will make your life worthwhile. John 14 verse 27 states: "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." The world can and will offer you peace, even Christ acknowledges this to be so in the above verse, but only He can give a permanent and lasting peace, one that cannot be moved by circumstances. Abortion will compound your problems, not remove it. It will offer a temporary and false peace that will unveil itself in days, or even in years to come. "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" (Galatians 6:7). The spiritual consequences are inevitable.
